St Andrew’s Day weekend is coming up fast!
On 30 November – 1 December there will be a weekend of activities to mark Andrewtide and the beginning of advent. With things to do on both Saturday and Sunday, it is sure to be a weekend made for getting into that festive spirit! Do be sure to come along!
Saturday:
To start it all off there will be a fayre of crafts, gifts, and cake in St Andrew’s Hall from 1 – 4 pm.
4:30 pm marks the beginning of a concert with students from Chesterton Community College in St Andrew’s Church.
To end our first day of celebrations, there will be a St Andrew’s Day Quiz in St Andrew’s Hall at 7 pm for 7:30 hosted by St Andrew’s youth to raise funds for East Anglia Children’s Hospices (https://www.each.org.uk/). There will be cheese, wine, and non-alcoholic options to enjoy!
Sunday:
Sunday morning begins with an 8 am communion service from the Book of Common Prayer followed by a Family service at 10 am and a short communion service at 11:15 am.
To finish our St Andrew’s Day Weekend celebrations, there will be a Choral Evensong in church at 5:30 pm.
