Philip used to teach and research theology and Christian history at Oxford before leaving academia to follow a calling to ordination. He has since served in parish ministry in East Oxford and County Durham as Priest-in-Charge of Holy Trinity Washington.

Philip became the vicar of St Andrew’s in December 2022.
