Of camels and Kings

Many St Andrew’s parishioners will remember Canon Graham Kings who was an Honorary Curate here between 1996 and 2000. One of the memorable highlights of that time was a camel ride from Oxford to Cambridge in aid of schools in Kenya. A meditation on the Passion

There will be a special service for Palm Sunday evening (5 April, 6.30pm) with readings from Christina Rossetti and G A Studdert Kennedy (‘Woodbine Willie’) as well as from the bible (including the Passion reading); music (sung by New Voices) will include Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater, Kenneth Leighton’s Solus ad Victimam and Heinrich Schutz’s Praise to thee, Lord Jesus.
