A team of 13 from our youth group spent the afternoon clearing a garden for a family in East Chesterton a few weeks ago. We had a great time together, working hard to clear the space from debris, weeds, a falling down shed and other items that were preventing the young children from being able to play in their new garden. The project was organised by local charity The Besom which provides a bridge between those who want to give time, money, things or skills and those who are in need. We hope to do another Besom project in 2017, perhaps with adult members of the congregation too. To find out more about The Besom in Cambridge, visit www.besom.com/local-besoms/cambridge
